Perro have been contracted to deliver marketing strategy, brand, design and digital services for the European Regional Development Fund funded Eco Innovation project delivered by the University of Chester.
The project is designed to provide businesses with access to the University’s facilities, academic expertise and business support to research, develop and implement low carbon technologies. Businesses also have the opportunity to access a dedicated intern to work full time in their business.
The target audience segments include Cheshire and Warrington based businesses as well as recent graduates from Universities based primarily in the North West, but also throughout the whole country.
Initially Perro were contracted to develop and improve the existing marketing strategy. Through desk based research we analysed previous activity and made recommendations for the 2018 – 2019 marketing strategy.
We also facilitated a Workshop with the Eco-Innovation Project Management Team, Academics, University Business Development Officers and the University Internal Communications Team. In this workshop target market segments were explored and defined in detail. Key messages for each appropriate target audience segment were developed and relevant marketing channels were selected and discussed.
Following on from the workshop, Perro have started to create a new visual identity for the project. Throughout 2018 Perro will create a visual identity guideline usage document and apply the new visual identity to marketing material for print and digital channels.
We’ll also create a series or images that can be used throughout future marketing activity as well as managing the production of short video clips that will communicate key messages. A social media strategy and plan will also be created.
