The Institute for Social Renewal at Newcastle University explores ways in which a research intensive university can connect with society in order to make a difference to people’s lives – locally, nationally and internationally.
Perro were asked to design and produce the Social Renewal Annual Review 2015.
The document communicates Newcastle University’s position as a ‘world class civic university’ and as a key ‘anchor institution’. Other Highlight articles include ‘Self Organised Learning Environments’, ‘Living Legacies 1914 – 1918’ and ‘Inspiring A Generation’. The document also features updates on ‘Impact on Practice & Policy’ and ‘Research With Others’.
The look and feel of the document is light and fresh. The ‘magazine fee’ is intended to make the document friendly and accessible. Captions and key sections of text are highlighted throughout to make longer articles more inviting and easier to read.
To create minimum impact to the environment, paper from responsible sources was used to produce the document.
